The release of the biography of renowned scholar Vellayani Arjunan on Wednesday saw rich tributes being paid to the scholar. The book, ‘Sadhanayilude Saphalyam’ by M A Karim, one of Arjunan’s students, was released by Governor Nikhil Kumar to a packed audience at Kanakakkunnu Palace Hall in the city.
“Someone who is the master of everything: his interests and the urge to learn things were really great. This work by Karim is the need of the hour, especially for children,” said the Governor, after handing over the first copy of the book to Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan.
The book describes Arjunan’s life in several chapters. It consists of 380 pages. Speaker G Karthikeyan presided over the function. “The scholar Arjunan is a hardworking personality. He has his own stand on certain things and acts accordingly,” said the Speaker said in his address.
The author of the book M A Karim introduced the book to the audience.
