This holy month of Ramadan the Classic Avenue hotel here invites you to join them in their Iftar feast. The hotel here is hosting Iftar dinner with a full course Iftar menu.

The Iftar dinner begins everyday at 6.30 pm and will go on till 11.00 pm. The package which is mainly an a la carte menu offers you the traditional items to break your fast.

To start off, you will be welcomed with mint lime juice and dates. After a whole day of fasting there is nothing that can be more soothing and easy on your stomach than lime. After you break your fast the hotel also provides you the facility to conduct your evening prayers in their specially arranged prayer rooms.

After the prayers one is welcomed with the traditional hot ari kanji in a bowl spiced with ginger, garlic and coconut scrapes, garnished with dry fruits. Or if you prefer something sweet you have the rava kanji or thari kanji served hot and sweet.

   After that, you have assorted cut fruits served, along with a few snacks such as samosas and cutlets in veg and non-veg flavours which the customer can order according to their choice.

They also offer special corporate discounts for corporate employees and groups. “We have already conducted some 3 to 4 corporate Iftar parties by now,” says chef Sunil.

As the main course they offer Kerala style chicken curry, kozhi roast, Thalassery chicken curry served with appam, plain rice, Indian bread or paraathas.

The customers always have the option of just opting for the starters from the Iftar menu and then going in for the regular buffet which will cost them around Rs 600 per head. Or they can stick to the Iftar menu and opt for a main course from the same which comes at Rs 400.

 For the main course, apart from the chicken varieties, there are also many fish  varieties to dig into. “If the customers prefer Chinese they can go for that as well,” says the chef.The desserts on offer are a Ramadan specialty unnakkaya (mashed banana) served with ice-cream or the regular fruit trifle with ice-cream. The Iftar feast will be on till August 9.
