As part of the ‘Sooryakeralam’ project, the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) is providing training to 1,400 technicians in the state towards implementing various solar power projects.
The state-level launch of the programme, providing training on Solar Photovoltaic Systems, will be held at the C-DIT main campus in Thiruvallom on Sunday.
Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed will inaugurate the programme at 11 a m. The aim is to create skilled manpower for installation and maintenance of Solar PV Power Systems in the state.
V Sivankutty MLA, will preside over.V P Joy, Principal Secretary to Finance Dept will deliver the keynote address. Babu Gopalakrishnan, director of C-DIT, Councillor A J Sukkarno and S A Shajahan, registrar of C-DIT would be present.
