As part of the prevention of contagious diseases in the district, Sunday will be observed as Dry Day.
Health Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the programme at Vanchiyoor Rishimangalam at 9 a m. People’s representatives from the dist and actor Suresh Gopi would participate.The decision was taken at the meeting held at the Minister’s chamber in connection with the review of the action plan taken to prevent the diseases.
The meeting attended by Mayor K Chandrika evaluated the field activities in various hospitals in the district and ward-level cleanliness drive. The Minister said that `25,000 was allotted to each ward and it should be utilised properly.
