Speaker G Karthikeyan has informed that the total electrification project in the Aruvikkara constituency has been completed. The project was supported by the MLA fund, KSEB and funds of Aryanad and Uzhamalakkal local bodies. A total of 873 families were given power under the project, the Speaker’s office said in a release here the other day.
A sum of 36.20 lakh has been sanctioned from the MLA fund of Speaker G Karthikeyan for various projects in the Aruvikkara constituency. A sum of Rs 5 lakh was sanctioned for setting up a multimedia theatre at Theviyarukunnu tribal high school, Rs 7 lakh for family welfare sub-centre at Kallamam, Poovachal, Rs 5 lakh for building works of Navodaya Library, Cheriyakonni, Rs 5 lakh for library building at Aruvikkara HSS, Rs 5 lakh for Vellanad market complex, Rs 5 lakh for foot overbridge at Kuttichal, Rs 3 lakh for Lourdegiri UPS and `1.20 lakh for computer purchase at AKMLPS, Pezhumoodu.
