Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) national vice-president P M Mohammed Hanif said here on Monday that the unity of the labour force was the need of the hour.
Inaugurating the delegate session of the HMS state conference here, he said that the labour force of the country should strive to not only protect their interests but also become a driving force in society.
He said that the strength of the labour force became evident with the two-day nationwide strike in February.
A resolution passed at the conference said that the HMS would protest against the Centre’s move to sell the shares of the PSU.
National working committee member C P John, national vice-President Thampan Thomas, state president Tom Thomas, general secretary M K Kannan, G Shanavas and K K Nanu were present among others.
