After the success of the LED lighting solutions at the Museum Complex and prisons here installed by Keltron, the energy saving lights will be manufactured on a large-scale and will be made available in the open market.
Keltron ‘Green Star’ T5 LED tube light will be the first product which will be rolled out by mid-March from the LED light manufacturing unit at its factory in Mudadi, near Kozhikode. It will be sleek wall or ceiling mounted ‘plug & play’ with a wide range of applications.
It offers an energy saving alternative to the established 36W T8 conventional tube light as well as the 28W T5 strip light.
The savings will be almost 50 percent energy in comparison to the conventional 36W tube light while offering a 20 percent brighter illumination. There will be a two-year warranty for the product.
Green Star will be followed by the T8 LED Retrofit Tube Light which will offer a one-to-one replacement for the standard tube lights.
This will offer customers a choice to retain their existing fixtures especially in false ceilings thereby saving a huge capital cost while implementing energy saving measures.
Other products which will be progressively launched include an innovative range of LED bulbs, LED down lights, LED 2’x 2’ ceiling panels, LED streetlights, LED solar stand-alone streetlights and home lights and LED industrial lights for hazardous areas.
To have a widespread presence and offer an easy access to the customers, Keltron proposes to have a network of outlets initially across the state and progressively expand to other geographic regions and territories. The channel partners will be ably supported by technically qualified and trained professionals who will help in creating product awareness.
Keltron identified this path-breaking technology in lighting almost three years ago and has steadily researched and developed product solutions since then.
The products itself are designed to offer serviceability in the event of any malfunction unlike the use and throw products being currently imported and marketed by most companies.
