Rev Jesudasan laid to rest

Rev I Jesudasan, former moderator of the CSI Church who passed away on Sunday, was laid to rest here on Tuesday.

CSI South Kerala Bishop Rev Dharmaraj Rasalam led the funeral rites at the CSI Mateer Memorial Church, LMS here in the evening.

Rev Jesudasan, who was 89, had served as CSI Moderator from 1982 to 1988. Jesudasan was Bishop of the South Kerala Diocese from 1973 to 1990 and deputy CSI moderator from 1980 to 1982.

He retired in February 1990. His wife Beatrice Jesudasan had passed away earlier. He is survived by his sons Marcin and Basil.

 Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, Mayor K Chandrika were among those who arrived to pay their last respects to Rev Jesudasan.
