Shopping for your favourite item sitting at home or office is now just a click away. A city-based youngster has launched a new venture - Rush2you - a start-up that specialises in delivering everyday products at customers’ doorsteps, after purchasing them from any shop in the capital.
Rush2you, a concept developed by 22-year-old Raj Baiju, is modelled on Flipkart. “We found that a proper home delivery system for all items was missing in the capital, where many people think twice about going out for shopping owing to time constraints and even traffic snarls and parking hurdles. Hence, after discussions with a few shops and malls, the idea was launched,’’ says Raj.
Presently, the service reaches all parts of the district, from 9 am to 10 pm. The service charge starts at Rs 15 and goes up based on the distance travelled to deliver the item and also the time taken. However, Rush2you requires no minimum order amount.
Rush2you now makes around 45 deliveries a day. The facility doesn’t have a list of products available displayed on its website. All you have to do is just give an sms or whatsapp or dial or even post in its facebook page or email for whatever item you wish to have. Within no time, Rush2you gets back to the customers.
“We take care to personally talk to people who place orders, especially the first-time callers, and convince them of our efficiency,” says Raj.
“It was when everyone was talking about the convenience of Flipkart that I thought of starting a similar a service, but in my hometown. This made me specialise in providing everyday products and even something different which people demand,” he says.
Rush2You now has eight employees. It has already received good feedback from the cityzens through its facebook page and mail. ‘’Most of the calls that we receive are from customers seeking food from their favourite restaurants where home delivery service is not available. As most of the eateries do not have their own delivery service because of the expense involved, the facility has clicked among the cityzens. But, even if the caller asks for a matchstick, the team is ready to get it from the shop that the customer wants,’’ Raj says.
He is now planning to expand Rush2You to other parts of the state as well.
