THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: This year’s Swathi Sangeethotsavam will be held from coming Sunday to January 13 at Kuthiramalika Palace in East Fort.
The fest begins with a vocal concert by Sanjay Subrahmanyam on the first day at 6 pm to the accompaniment of S Varadarajan (violin), Neyveli Venkatesh (mridangam) and Alathur Rajaganesh (ganjira).
In the following days vocal performances by Rama Varma, Amrutha Venkatesh, Perambavoor Ravindranath, Carnatica Brothers, Ashwath Narayanan, Sandeep Narayan and O S Arun and violin concert by Avaneeswaram S R Vinu and Hindustani Bansuri performance by Praveen Godkhindi are scheduled.
Rama Varma will be accompanied by S Varadarajan (violin), B Harikumar (mridangam), S Karthick (ghatam) and Payyannur Govindaprasad (morsing). For Amrutha Venkatesh’s concert, M Rajeev (violin), S J Arjun Ganesh (violin), S Karthick (mridangam) and Payyannur Govidaprasad (morsing) will provide accompaniment.
Perambavoor Ravindranath will have Avaneeswaram S R Vinu (violin), Adoor Babu (mridangam) and Adichanalloor Anilkumar (ghatam) in the background.
Avaneeswaram S R Vinu will have Nanjil Arul playing mridangam and Manjoor Unnikrishnan on ghatam. Carnatica Brothers will perform with Attukal Balasubramaniam (violin), G Babu (mridangam), Udupi Sridhar (ghatam); Ashwath Narayanan with Trivandrum Sampath (violin), Sumesh Narayanan (mridangam) and Vazhapalli Krishnakumar (ghatam); Sandeep Narayanan will be accompanied by S R Mahadev Sarma (violin), Palakkad Maheshkumar (mridangam) and Perukavu P L Sudheer (ghatam).
M R Gopinath (violin), J Vaidhyanathan (mridangam), S Karthick (ghatam) and Ganapathy (tabla) comprise the accompaniment for O S Arun.
Praveen Godkhindi will have tabla support from Ravindra Yavagal.
