THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kids are always afraid of the hospitals and also doctors, but Aadithya, who topped Tamil Nadu medical list, has been a big fan of the men in white. She always loved the way the doctors dressed up and treated the patients. The white coat and stethoscope prompted her to be a doctor.
Aadithya Mahesh M V completed her HSS education at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School, Vazhuthakadu with 99.5 per cent. For class X, which she did from Sree Chithira Thirunal Residential Central school, Kunnathukal, she scored 9.6 grade point. She scored cent per cent in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, which made her top the rank list by scoring 200 out of 200.
She used to live in Poojapura while studying at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School, but has shifted along with her family to Kanyakuymari. An excited Aadithya is happy to join her most favourite Madras Medical College. She had applied for medicine in Tamil Nadu since Madras Medical College had always been her first choice. She was also confident of getting into the medical stream since she scored high marks in HSS.
“My ambition was to become a doctor and this is my first step towards achieving my dream. No one in my family is a doctor so it was my father’s biggest wish to see me become one,” she told ‘Express’.
She didn’t sit for Kerala Medical Entrance exam but had attempted the All India Entrance exam. She said that her teachers had given her the best coaching and support. Besides, she added that her parents had always taken a special interest in her education.
If MBBS is her first love, dancing is her second one. She has learnt Bharathanatyam, and Kuchipudi. In the CBSE South Sahodaya competition she won a prize for mono act. Adithya has completed her interview and counselling process for admission to Madras Medical College.
