Malayalis in UAE to be repatriated

Steps will be taken to bring people who avail amnesty in the UAE to Kerala, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Steps will be taken to bring people who avail amnesty in the UAE to Kerala, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. NoRKA-Roots, the agency which plays a key role in the welfare of NRKs, has been directed to repatriate them safely. Expatriates residing in the UAE whose visas have expired can apply for amnesty between August to October 31 through nine centres in the UAE which allows them to leave the country without paying a penalty.

Those who availed amnesty will be brought back to Kerala free of cost. The first batch is expected to reach here by the first week of August and the state government has also taken steps to gather the details of those who avail the amnesty.
