South Central Railway to run special trains to clear Dasara rush

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Brahmotsavam at Tirumala and Dasara festival, the South Central Railway will run special trains between Kakinada Town and Tirupati.

VIJAYAWADA: In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Brahmotsavam at Tirumala and Dasara festival, the South Central Railway will run special trains between Kakinada Town and Tirupati. 
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, Train No. 07941 Kakinada Town-Tirupati special train will depart from Kakinada Town at 7 pm on September 30 and arrive Tirupati at 6:20 am the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07942 Tirupati - Kakinada Town special train will depart Tirupati at 7 pm on October 1 and arrive at Kakinada Town at 5:30 am the next day.

These special trains will stop at Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Srikalahasti and Renigunta stations in both the directions. The special trains will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, II Sleeper, II general and luggage-cum-brake van coaches. 

Additional stoppages are provided for Train No. 07941 Kakinada Town-Tirupati special, which will run on September 26 and 28,  and Train No. 07942 Tirupati - Kakinada Town special, which will run on September 27 and 29, at Bapatla, Chirala and Kavali stations. Train No. 07075 Secunderabad-Kakinada Special Train will depart from Secunderabad at 7:45 pm on September 29 and arrive at Kakinada at 8:30 am the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07076 Kakinada - Secunderabad Special Train will depart from Kakinada at 7:50 am on September 30 and arrive at Secunderabad at 7:40 am the next day.
