Four people booked in Vijayawada for forging property documents

Police filed cases against four people and employees of India Bulls Housing Finance Limited on Saturday in connection with forgery of property documents belonging to one Chintamaneni Sahithi.

VIJAYAWADA: Police filed cases against four people and employees of India Bulls Housing Finance Limited on Saturday in connection with forgery of property documents belonging to one Chintamaneni Sahithi in order to apply for a loan of Rs 1.3 crore at a private housing finance company.

In the complaint, she had mentioned that Janakanuri Vamsi Raju (resident of Yanamalakuduru), Kallepalli Sitha Rama Rao (resident of Ramachandra Nagar), Gangavarapu Jaya Rani and Kavuluri Lakshmi Narayana created fake documents to her property with the help of sub-registrars of Gannavaram and Vijayawada.

“We were shocked at seeing notices from India Bulls housing finance limited. When we inquired about the notices, we came to know that our property papers had been used to apply for a loan,” said the complainant.

Following the complaint, Satyanarayanapuram circle inspector Kanaka Rao conducted an investigation into the matter.

“We are looking into the role of India Bulls Housing Finance Limited staff who sanctioned the loan without verifying the documents,” said Kanaka Rao.
