VIJAYAWADA: Out of 9,444 registered candidates, 6,411 appeared for the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) mechanical engineering computer-based recruitment test (CBT), which concluded smoothly across Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring states on Monday.
APTRANSCO Joint Managing Director I. Surya Sai Pravin Chand, IAS, confirmed in an official statement that the second day of examinations for filling 629 AEE posts across state power utilities was conducted in a peaceful and hassle-free manner.
A total of 94 examination centres were set up for the multi-day test schedule running from August 23 to 27, including 81 centres across Andhra Pradesh and 13 centres in neighbouring states.
The entire examination process—including test halls, corridors, and server rooms—is being continuously monitored live via CCTV networks from the Command Control Centre at Vidyut Soudha in Vijayawada. Cautioning candidates against falling for miscreants, JMD Pravin Chand advised applicants to rely exclusively on official recruitment portals for authentic updates and warned them not to trust unverified rumours or misinformation circulating on social media.
