V Premkumar alias Aggu, who prefers to be known as Aggu in the movie circles, started working at the age of 17 to gain work experience and to take care of his expenses. After doing various odd jobs in the city. He has now started working on a short film project while also pursuing his studies.
This first-year BSc visual communication student at Loyola College, Chennai, explains his life is worth living for three things, “First is development — improve knowledge and skills. Secondly work to give yourself a good life, like earn money for living better and thirdly which is the most important, spend time with family and loved ones, plus contribute your bit to the society.”
Prem’s long list of employees include — the transport department at Express Avenue, Chennai, then at the KFC restaurant as the team member. He has also worked at Sathyam Cinemas as the guest relation executive, then at Service Premium Limited, a call center company. His last job was as the supervisor in a branch of Krishna Sweets and was earning over `8,000 monthly. He quit that job to direct a short movie.
A very intense brain is behind this 18-year-old’s every step forward. He is very clear about what he wants to do in life, “I think it is better to be honest and work sincerely than just earn money. I aim to become a director and would like to see some changes in Tamil cinema. I want to be known as a good entertainer.”
