Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur,  launched its first-ever Global MBA Programme in partnership with Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western University, Cleveland, USA, and School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, Shanghai, China, on January 12. The full-time two-year residential global MBA programme will commence in August. Each of the partner schools will begin the process of admitting its quota of 20 students from its home country. Each school will have its own criteria of selecting students.

XLRI would select students based on the performance in XAT, whereas Weatherhead School of Management will bank on GMAT and School of Economics and Management has its own criteria. Graduates from a recognised university with relevant experience are eligible for this programme.

The course will be held in four parts with three of the parts being taught in Shanghai, China; Jamshedpur, India, and Cleveland, USA. The first term will commence at Tongji, second at XLRI, and third at USA. For the final term, each nationality group will go back to its home school to complete local graduation requirements.

There will be a total of 18 courses spread over six themes. In addition to in-class coursework, students will be involved in company projects during each of the first three terms. Fee will be around `25 lakh for two years. For details, visit www.xlri.ac.in or call Sunil Varughese at (0)8292363159.
