Is it enough to do a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at any polytechnic institute after Class X? Will I get a good job?
My advice to you would be to complete your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and then progress into the second year of the engineering degree. This is the best route to building a solid career foundation. Using the polytechnic route to get into an engineering college is a means to an end and cannot be an end in itself. You may get jobs after doing the diploma but the better quality of jobs would go to engineers and not a diploma holder.
I just graduated in MBA Finance this year from Bangalore. But I am not able to find a job. Please help.
As there is a slump in the job market, many MBA’s find it difficult to get a job. Hence, don’t be choosy; pick up the first job that comes your way. However, the job market is showing signs of recovery and many companies have slowly started the hiring process. Visit the websites of companies that you are interested in and apply to them directly. You may also look out for options on various job sites and career sections of newspapers. You may also consider doing some short-term courses in the area of your interest like banking and insurance while you continue your job search.
