Applications Invited for BA at University of Sheffield

The course provided is BA (Hons) in Business Management & Social Policy’ dual honours degree. The USPs of the course are this is a dual honours course which is run by the Sheffield University Management School in partnership with the University’s Department of Sociological Studies. The University’s Management School is in the top one per cent of business schools worldwide.

BASE, B’lore Announces Tests for Training Programmes

BASE, the Bengaluru based training organisation providing training for competitive examinations, has announced selection tests for its various training programs – IIT JEE Achiever, Medical Excel and PreUni Plus for students in Class X during 2015-16. The test will be held on Sunday, November 29 at various locations in Karnataka.

Cyrus Mistry Flags off New XLRI Campus at Jamshedpur

The new campus of XLRI- Xavier School of Management was inaugurated by Cyrus Mistry, Chairman, Tata Sons. The inaugural ceremony was held at the XLRI Campus in Jamshedpur on 17 November in presence of T V Narendran (Chairman, Board of Governors at XLRI & MD - Tata Steel India and South East Asia), Fr E Abraham S J (Director of XLRI), Dr Pranabesh Ray (Dean - Academics, XLRI), Dr N S Rajan (Group Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Group Executive Council of Tata Sons) and other dignitaries.

Monk, Philosopher Among Infosys Awardees

The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) has announced the winners of the Infosys Prize 2015. The winners include an ex-army officer, a monk and a philosopher, whose work spans fields as diverse as analytical Indian Philosophy, the atomic structure of the malaria parasite and India’s foreign policies.

Good Governance Document Released

Toby Linden, Lead Education Specialist at the World Bank, released “The Good Governance Document” of BMS College of Engineering at the college campus on November 19. The document provides guidelines to support and strengthen the governing body in monitoring and overseeing the activities of BMSCE and to ensure an effective governance at all levels.

Guest Lecture Series At MICA 

As part of a guest lecture series at MICA, Ahmedabad, Sameer Nair, Group CEO of Balaji Telefilms delivered a lecture at the campus on November 19. Talking about the critical need for communication in any business, he emphasized on the importance of politeness in communication and how it can make a great difference in the perception of content.
