I am a BCom graduate, currently working as a GDS BPM in a post office. I earn a very minimal salary. I am also pursuing my master’s from IGNOU. Right now I am confused if I should preprare for thebank exams or SSC exams. I need to support my aged father and five sisters. Kindly advise.

I would first advise that you concentrate on one area and prepare for the same with full enthusiasm and focus. Since you are a commerce graduate, I would recommend that you consider a bank job. Your family responsibilities demand a well-paying job which is possible if you join a bank via the IBPS exams.

You can get all the details at www.ibps.in/. Concentrate on your PG from IGNOU also and complete it with good grades.

I am currently pursuing my BTech in electronics and instrumentation. I would like to know what kind of branches I can opt for my further studies. Kindly help me choose the most beneficial career path.

You could logically opt for a master’s in electronics, instrumentation and such allied areas. You could seek admission into the IITs, NITs and such institutions of excellence by writing the GATE exams.

You need to decide your branch based on your interests and aptitude. In case you wish to pursue a career in management, then you need to write your CAT and other entrance exams to seek admissions into B schools.
