KOLKATA: Astrologers predict a second term for West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee but claim she will face several obstacles and return with a reduced majority. Interestingly, most of them say Didi would face ‘many obstacles’ but mostly from within her own party.
There are also some, who predict that even if the Left-Congress alliance does not win, there might be another ‘poriborton’ (change) .
Mamata’s date of birth is January 5, 1955. But there is no official record of her birth date and time. Astrologers as such considered other factors. CPI(M) state secretary Surjyakanta Mishra, a physician by profession and the alliance’s CM candidate, was born on April 18, 1949. State Congress president Adhir Chowdhury, was born on April 2, 1956.
Astrologer Debashish Sen explained, “From September to December last year, Mamata’s time was good but after that it deteriorated. But from April 3, it has improved. As such, her party will win but might be with a very slender margin.”
According to Mamata’s horoscope, she is going through the period of Saturn which is placed in the house of Vrischik (Scorpio) now. For that reason, she is getting entangled in problems one after the other, he said. Surjyakanta’s horoscope shows Jupiter is the key but since, it’s now placed low he has no chance of coming to power, Sen said.
Gorachand Banerjee is an astrology advisor to several heavyweights in TMC. He is confident the TMC would form the next government but says party MP Mukul Roy would be the ‘king-maker’. Madhumita Shastri is a famous woman astrologer who differed with her male counterparts. “Jupiter and Rahu are co-existing in Leo and Saturn is looking at them.
This position of Leo determines power. Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu together are considered guruchandali position which is bad. As such, there might be change of power,” she said.
