Telangana Polls: TRS releases party manifesto, promises Rs 1 lakh loan waiver to farmers

Releasing a 24- poll promises in its manifesto at a public meeting here, party President KCR said would continue to implement all the existing schemes extensively, benefiting the people at large.

HYDERABAD: With just 5-days left for Assembly elections, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which is contesting the entire 119-assembly segments alone for the Dec 7 elections in Telangana state, on Sunday released its manifesto by promising Rs 1 lakh loan waiver to farmers and enhancement of government employees retirement age from the present 58 to 61 besides reducing of age eligibility for old age pension from 65 to 57 years.

Unemployment allowance of Rs 3016, enhancement of Aasara pensions from Rs 1000 to Rs 2016 and pensions of differently abled persons from Rs 1500 to Rs 3016, age eligibility for old age pension and investment support of Rs 8000 per acre for agriculture to farmer under Rythu Bandhu will be increased to Rs 10,000 per acre; are some of the main promises in TRS's manifesto.

Releasing a 24- poll promises in its manifesto at a public meeting here, party President and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said multiplying the wealth and distributing amongst people, TRS Government that came to power after winning the 2018 elections would continue to implement all the existing schemes extensively, benefiting the people at large.

While continuing the construction of double bedroom houses as per the existing norms, those a poor persons who have own plot and desirous of constructing a house on their own will be provided financial assistance, ranging from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 6 Lakhs, the CM said also promised to continue to press and fight for implementation of 33 per cent reservation to BCs and 33 per cent reservation to women in legislatures.

The Telangana State Assembly has passed a resolution for the provision of 12 per cent reservation to STs and 12 per cent reservation to Minorities, he said for implementing these reservations, the Government will continue to fight for their cause with the centre.

The SC categorization resolution of the Assembly was forwarded to centre and for obtaining centre's nod, the TRS government will continue to fight, the TRS manifesto also promised.
