HYDERABAD: They have qualified to become cops, but are struggling to get certificates to prove the community they hail from. Reason? All officials are busy with election duties now, they do not have time for this. Candidates who have qualified as Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspectors (SIs) and Police Constables (PCs) have to submit all documents by November 18 midnight.

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) officials have issued a circular asking the qualified candidates of SCT SIs, PCs to submit their self attested photocopy of the community certificate issued by the competent authorities of Telangana government for further proceedings of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to be held on December 17.

Even as the qualified candidates for police posts have applied by MeeSeva and Tahsildar offices by submitting necessary proof documents for getting community and non creamy layer certificates, the revenue officials have failed in issuing certificates after they were assigned elections duties.

“Since the day the registration of new voters started, the revenue officials working in Tahsildar offices stopped in coming to office to clear certificates. I applied at least 35 days ago for community certificate including non creamy layer certificate for the purpose of submission to the police recruitment.
Till today, I visit the office every day and never seen the officials here,” Janardhan said as he vented anger at the Qutbullahpur Tahsildar office, Medchal district.

A number of candidates seeking different certificates squatted at the Tahsildar office of Qutbullahpur.
As the staff told them that all the officers on election duty in view of filing nominations started from today, the candidates started shouting slogans against revenue officials and demanded to issue their certificates immediately. Similar situations took place in other Tahasildar offices after the Revenue officials are busy in elections duties.

The TSLPRB officials stated that all the candidates participating in PMT / PET have to fill their Part II (Final) application form, Online, by logging on into their user account on the TSLPRB Website www.tslprb.in between 10 am on October 29 2018 and 12 midnight on November 18, 2018.

“It may please be noted that Part-II application has to be filled along with uploading the photocopies of the relevant certificates / documents and it will take substantial time to fill-up the form completely. For the aforementioned purpose, candidates are advised to keep all the relevant Certificates / Documents readily available for scanning and uploading,” the Board officials said.
