HYDERABAD: In a huge setback to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) ahead of Assembly election on December 7, Party MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy resigned from the party on Tuesday.

He sent his three-page resignation letter to the Telangana Bhavan, the party headquarters in Banjara Hills area of the city.

Mr Reddy, who represents the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency, said that in the last two-odd years, the TRS was moving away from the people and the government too was not accessible to the people.

He said the party workers who sacrificed a lot during the agitation for separate Telangana were being sidelined and loyal party workers were also not given due importance in the party.
