'If you are a Muslim student you will get Rs 20 lakh to study abroad. There is going to be a separate hospital if you belong to the minority class,' said Amit Shah.

HYDERABAD: On his fifth visit to the poll-bound Telangana State, BJP national president Amit Shah had his message cut out, loud and clear. Speaking at Adilabad, he thundered "make Lotus blossom in Telangana from Adilabad - the Gateway for Telangana" and see that there would not be minority appeasement.

With electoral mood swaying across the major political parties - TRS and Congress-led grand alliance, Shah slammed the two parties for resorting to appeasement politics at his two back-to-back meetings - Adilabad and Nalgonda. He drew a clear distinction on what could be lost if the minorities are benefited.

Referring to a recent manifesto of the Congress to have an IT corridor for Muslims that has been doing the rounds across several media houses, Shah said: "if you're not a Muslim you won't get a government project contract."

"If you are a Muslim student you will get Rs 20 lakh to study abroad. There is going to be a separate hospital if you belong to the minority class. Reservation will be given to minorities in private companies. The Masjid and churches need not pay electricity charges, but Temples have no such exception. And, in Telangana you will not get a job if you don't know Urdu," stated Shah as he asked the gatherings at Adilabad and Munugode if they would accept such an offer.

Taking on CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, Shah questioned whose reservation will be snatched away if the 12 per cent minority reservation is given to the minorities. "KCR is eating into the reservation of the tribal and girijans," Shah said while noting that the TRS has supported to allow infiltrators to enter in the country by giving such reservation.

Terming that all the political parties are bowing down to the feet of AIMIM as said by ex-MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, Amit Shah projected that BJP is the only party which can match an "eye-to-eye" with the Majilis. "Give us a chance and we will see eye-to-eye with AIMIM and uplift the self-respect of Telangana," Shah said to a rousing appreciation from the well-attended gathering.

The TRS government, Shah said, is afraid of AIMIM because of which Hyderabad Liberation Day was not being celebrated. He assured that the day will be celebrated with all grandeur.

Shah went on to slam Chandrasekhar Rao for not partnering with the central government in implementing Ayushman Bharat scheme and accused of not materialising the Avas Yojna housing scheme in the State. "Neither houses have been houses constructed, a medical cover is given, a Dalit made as the CM or 3-acre land given to Dalits," slammed Shah at Munugode public meeting, his second during the day.

He took potshots at the large number of farmer suicides that took place in the State by stating that in KCR's own constituency 131 farmers committed suicide and termed Rao's governance as "anti-farmer."

At Nalgonda district, Amit Shah accused Chandrasekhar Rao of taking commissions from pharmaceutical companies and allowing them to pollute the area and allow people to suffer from kidney and other ailments.

"What are you doing for the children of Nalgonda who are suffering from fluorosis issue. You have tied up with the pharmaceutical companies and allowing them to draw polluted chemicals on to the ground through reverse bore well techniques," accused Shah while ridiculing that there is not a single degree college in the district.

A slew of Promises

Amit Shah promised to Adilabad and Nalgonda locals, that the BJP will

  • Ensure to construct a Cement Corporation of India (CCI) factory in Adilabad

  • We will ensure that Adilabad remains green while ensuring that tree

  • felling does not take place.

  • Pucca houses will be constructed at Adilabad instead of thatched houses.

  • To prevent pharmaceutical companies from conducting reverse

  • bore-well processes.

  • To bring villages of Nalgonda under the urban-rural mission.
