Did you always want to be an actor?

Definitely. Cinema is the only thing that I knew and I was surrounded by it as a child. I loved the recognition I got as a child after I did the song I’m a little star. The song changed my life.

 How important is education and extra curricular activities at a young age to mould the actor?

Education and extra curricular activities are a must for everyone. I started work when I was young, so I didn’t complete my formal education. But it is a necessary foundation.

Is family some sort of a support system? And do relationships become more mature and closer?

Family is very important. After my dad introduced me to the industry, he left me alone. I have cool parents who don’t interfere in my personal and professional life, but they are always supportive. They stopped worrying about me after I turned 18.

Have people's attitude towards you changed - When you were not so successful and to now when you are a superhero?

I was born in the industry and have changed a bit over the years. I have noticed that the people around me have changed more and it is all according to my success.

The film that put you on the map?

'Manmadan' is the one film that was very important in my career

What have you learnt?

The next generation of actors should have the knowledge of the technical side of film making. The movies nowadays are hits because of the script and not necessarily because of the stars.

How has your personal style evolved, despite the influence of costumers and designers around you ?

I completely depend on my costume designers in films. My personal style is very different. I am into branded wear like Armani and Zara shirts. My biggest asset is my body. I spend a lot on my wardrobe and I like to wear casuals.

If you could change one thing about Indian cinema, what would you change?

I would like to change the way the Censor Board works. I prefer the ratings used in Hollywood like PG and 18 and above.
