Devayani is among those actresses who have made a successful transition from the silver screen to the small screen. Her first soap ‘Kolangal’ was a huge hit among audiences and her character, Abi (Abinaya), in it became a household name. The success of that serial prompted the actress to do more serials and she has been at it ever since.
Now, she is playing the lead role in another serial titled ‘Muthaaram’. Produced by S Siddique and directed by R Ganesh, the story of ‘Muthaaram’ revolves around her character called Ranjani.
The mega serial will be telecast on Sun TV from November 14. Lyricist Vairamuthu has penned the songs for the serial.
