Being young and healthy is something that she believes in. Having studied in Bangalore and reminiscing some of her memories spent here in her childhood, Bangalore girl Kulraj Randhawa shares her health regime, and tells you how being skinny is not at all in.

What is your idea of a healthy lifestyle?

My idea of a healthy lifestyle is to eat well, sleep well and most importantly live happily. Happiness is very important since it helps you keep a positive attitude and encourages you towards a healthy lifestyle.

What is your workout regime?

I do a lot of yoga. Other than that to tone my body, alternate weight training, cardio and freehand exercises is something I indulge in the most. I love outdoor sports. One of my favourite remains playing squash. I feel sports is fun and a great way to stay healthy.

How do you maintain your hair and skin?

Regular exercising is something that helps remove all the toxins from the body. Once toxins are out, it further helps in good blood circulation which is a simple way to get a glowing skin. Other than that I regularly use natural face packs and hair packs. It rejuvenates my hair and skin.

How often do you indulge in junk food?

Junk food is a strict no for the regime I follow. Although I do love Chinese cuisine, I make sure to indulge in recipes which are low on fat and carbs.

What is your opinion of the size zero fad?

I think it has been talked about a little too much. Seriously, it’s now an old concept. The trends have changed and it’s preferable to be on the fuller side. Even directors look out for that.

Give our readers some tips on how to maintain themselves during summer?

Its important to stay hydrated so drink plenty of water and natural fresh juices. Stay away from aerated and sugary drinks. Use a sunscreen before heading out especially in the afternoon. Avoid oily spicy food and alcohol.
