With her Hollywood debut in Kamasutra 3D coming up, Sherlyn Chopra reveals that with her busy schedule, there really hasn’t been much time for research on the subject, let alone practice. But even before the shooting had begun, she was confident about one thing: “It’s going to be an epic film. Definitely one that truly celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema.” While it is a given that the masses (including her 45,395 fans on Twitter) are quick to assume that the film will be pornography rolled out on a red carpet, Chopra assures us that this is not the case. “That’s what most people choose to believe, including my own sister,” she states matter-of-factly. “What can I say except shame on prejudicial thinking and narrow mindedness.” For those who haven’t seen the film’s poster online, hold your horses - there’s a while to go as it first has to be showcased at the 66th Cannes Film Festival next month.
No to item numbers
Incidentally, Chopra who plays a princess in the film, won’t be the only one doing nude scenes. There will also be eight other actors who will bare all for the arts. Having shot to fame after becoming the first Indian woman to pose nude for Playboy, one would think that spicy item numbers were right up her alley. But the Dil Bole Hadippa star surprises us when she reveals, “Item numbers do not excite me in the least.” She elaborates, “I’ve had several offers and turned them down.” Instead, she is currently spending her days spicing up the sets of MTV’s latest season of the reality show, Splitsvilla. “It’s been fabulous working on the show,” she gushes, admitting, “When I got the call to do the show, I thought that it would be like a paid vacation - but the work load is crazy...I’ve never worked so hard in my life!”
Analyse this
Whether on set or off, take it from us – sizzle is what Chopra does best. And she does it with an easy flamboyance. As for fans who are wondering whether the Chopra craze is short-lived, what with her public announcement of marriage on the cards – rest easy.
The actor reveals that there is only one ‘dream guy’ in her life, “In my dreams, I often see Daniel Craig. I would love to be a Bond girl some day.”
