When Sandra Bullock tearfully thanked her husband Jesse James in her speech after her Oscar win, the couple seemed deeply in love with one another. A few days later, a bombshell landed in the form of tattooed model Michelle McGee . McGee claimed to have had an affair lasting several months with the ‘Garage Monster’ star. Her claims led to three other women admitting to affairs with James. A year later, James and Bullock are divorced, with James now engaged to LA Ink’s Kat Von D (who, incidentally, looks a lot like McGee).
Second time lucky
Leann Rimes has been a staple in country music with a wholesome image to boot. All that went out of the window thanks to reports about her illicit affair with married actor Eddie Cibrian . The catch? She was also married. Before their respective divorces were finalised, last month, the couple announced that they were engaged to be married themselves. Reports have surfaced about
Rimes having paid clandestine visits to a particular plastic surgeon — the same one Cibrian’s wife allegedly frequents.
Shock tactic
Oscar nominee Natalie Portman ’s turn in 'Black Swan' gets our vote. The actress also seems to be on a high when it comes to her personal life, what with the announcement that she is engaged to French choreographer Benjamin Millipied and is expecting their first child. The hitch — Millipied was in a live-in relationship with dancer Isabella Boylston when he met Portman.
According to reports, Boylston was shattered when she found out about Portman’s relationship with Millipied and is yet to come to terms with their engagement less than a year later.
Out of the woods
Former Las Vegas hostess Rachel Uchitel became famous overnight when she was exposed as the main ‘other woman’ in Tiger Wood ’s life. Since then, Uchitel has been in and out of tabloids, thanks to reports of alcohol and drug abuse. And more recently, for an alleged affair with married actor David Boreanaz and for taking part in the reality series, Celebrity Rehab.
Country strong
What’s more shocking than a backstabbing best friend and a philandering husband? Well, first you had Shania Twain announcing her separation from her husband of 15 years, music producer Robert Lang e. The reason? Lange reportedly had an affair with Twain’s best friend, Marie Ann Thiebaud (who was herself married). Twain did not take too long to find love again — in the arms of Marie Ann’s ex-husband, Frederic Thiebaud . Twain has announced that she would headline a reality show, Why Not?, which is all set to premiere on Oprah’s new network, OWN.
