Spoiler Alert!

(But it's Game of Thrones we are talking about, unless you are stranded on a far away island, you are bound to know details about the teaser. You might as well be aware of the latest developments and update the count of characters who are brutally killed in the series.)

With the recent Season-6 teaser-trailer of Game of Thrones, the makers have yet again managed to win the 'creepy teaser meant for confusing audience' award. The minute-long teaser opens with an eerie entry into the Hall of Faces with the disembodied faces of the most famous characters. It then focuses on the eyes-closed faces of Eddard, Robb and Catelyn Stark, King Joffrey, and the beloved poor Jon Snow.

Adding to the ghoulish effect, there are voices of departed characters in the background.

Ned: "The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword."
Robb: "I've won every battle but I'm losing this war."
Catelyn: "Show them how it feels to lose what they love."
Joffrey: "Everyone is mine to torment."
Jon: "The long night is coming and the dead come with it."

Now we get to the really creepy part: the Hall of Faces also hosts the disembodied face of one of the most important and loved characters, Tyrion Lannister himself!

If this wasn't enough to clench your fists and bite your lips, watch the video end with faces of Daenerys, Arya, and Sansa along with Tyrion's.

So, here's the confusing part of the teaser: while the Hall of Faces hosts the heads of characters who were alive in Season 5, the voices in the background belong to the departed characters alone.

This could mean that Daenerys, Arya, and Sansa along with Tyrion are alive, thank god; at the same time it adds to the speculation if Jon Snow is actually dead.

But then again, Jon's voice in the background suggests that dead will come alive.

The previous season's finale had created a stir with Jon Snow lying in a pool of blood after being stabbed by the 'Watchers on the Wall.'

The trailer comes after HBO released a number of photos and videos of the upcoming season, showing most of the major characters. The images led to fans losing their sleep in trying to fix the jigsaw puzzle of how the last season ended and the mounting speculation around them.

The Game of Thrones Season 6 hits screens on April 24. Yes, two more months before you get to sigh of relief or see your favourite character get brutally killed and swear to boycott the next season.

Like most of us did after Season 5 but are now waiting for the next season.
