Moonlight movie director starts his Oscars day in unique manner

NEW DELHI: What is the most unique way to prepare for Hollywood’s biggest night? ‘Moonlight’ director, Barry Jenkins has the perfect answer. 

The 37-year-old took to Twitter and shared a photo of himself checking his watch while in front of a row of washing machines. 

“Oscar morning. Startin the day off right (because I'm outta clean socks and undershirts),” he captioned the picture. 

He previously celebrated his Golden Globe nominations by drinking coffee and doing laundry, which keeps him sane. 

Jenkins' coming-of-age drama, ‘Moonlight,’ is up for eight awards including best picture and best director. 

The 89th Annual Academy Awards, to be hosted by Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on February 26 from Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
