Vidharth is one actor who not only says that multi-hero films are healthy for cinema, but also wants to be a part of such projects. Three out of the five films he has currently committed for, have more than one lead. While it’s already known that he shares screen space with actor Krishna and director/actor Venkat Prabhu in Vizhithiru, and with actors Vimal and Parthiban in Jannal Oram, Vidharth has also signed to be a part of Ajith’s untitled project for Vijaya Productions. Vidharth strongly believes that he evolves as an actor while working with other established heroes.
“And it’s less risky for a producer too,” he adds. On joining Vimal, Vidharth’s friend from Koothu-p-pattarai days, on screen, the actor says, “It’s good that we have come together again, but this time it’s for a film. Vimal is happier and feels more comfortable working with me. Getting to work with a director like Karu Palaniappan is a great experience.”
Jannal Oram is a remake of Malayalam flick Traffic and actors Poorna and Manisha Yadav play the female leads.
Vidharth will start shooting for Vizhithiru in Meera Kathiravan’s direction from January 2013, his other film Venmegam is currently in the post-production stage.
“With all these films, 2013 will be an important year for me,” concludes Vidharth.
