NOT every actress gets the opportunity of working with top league Khans (Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh) soon after her entry into Bollywood. But South-Indian beauty Asin is an exception! Her debut film in Bollywood, Ghajini, was with Aamir and her next, London Dreams, is with Salman Khan.
And the actress has established such a rapport with Sallu that Katrina is getting more insecure day by day.
Katrina Kaif may have never acknowledged her love for Salman Khan but she cannot bear him spending time with any other lady. Salman and Asin are seen getting very close these days. After the success of Ghajini, Asin’s stardom has touched new heights and Salman seems to have become fond of her. The Bollywood hunk even celebrated his birthday with Asin while Katrina was in London.
There are more reasons for Katrina to feel insecure over Asin. After the success of Ghajini many feel Asin might take Katrina’s place as she speaks Hindi fluently unlike Katrina who still hasn’t managed to learn the language. Katrina’s insecurity made her land up on the sets of London Dreams in Chandigarh and she made sure Salman did not hobnob with Asin after the shoot.
Asin's character in the film is that of a guitarist - a role somewhat similar to Katrina’s cello playing act in Yuvvraaj.
What adds to the already existing flame of rivalry is that Asin is blessed with better acting skills than our smiling doll Kat, and may come up with better performance - a cause of much worry for Katrina.
News has it that there are two separate looks for Asin’s character. The traditional South Indian look and the rock singer who takes off with her friends to jam and groove to the beat. Asin is leaving no stone unturned to do justice to her character, get sweet approval from co-star Salman and, quite mischievously, bring discomfort to Katrina Kaif.
On the career front also Kat is having a tough time. After delivering blockbuster hits, the hit jodi Akki-Kat has reportedly fallen apart. Apparently, Akki, the ‘kung fu king’, has gone fida over Deepika Padukone.
Ever since the two came together for their much-hyped flick Chandni Chowk to China, the actor has been singing the praises of his leading lady.
What’s more, he even recommended Dips to some of his producers.
Till now it was Katrina, who enjoyed the fruits of Akki’s friendship. Buzz has it that it was Akshay who was responsible for Katrina’s back-to-back hits. But now it seems that Akki has had a change of heart. The ‘Khiladi’ is supposedly ordering producers to cast Dips opposite him. Apart from coming together in Sajid Khan’s forthcoming flick Houseful, the story goes that Akshay is persuading director Rohit Dhawan (David Dhawan’s son) to cast the dusky beauty in Come On Pappu.
