I am not allowed to enter the kitchen: Playback singer Shaan

First thing I have in the morning: I have a cup of coffee.
My diet preference:  I am a non-vegetarian but I respect vegetarian food. Yes, I eat non-veg food all the time. My favourite is seafood, something grilled.
My breakfast is: Mostly eggs.
My lunch is: Some sort of meat or fish has to be there in my lunch.
My evening snack: Coffee is just fine.
My dinner is: I keep it light, keep the carbs low so something grilled or barbecued.  I am trying to keep my consumption of red meat low; I love my meats.
To keep fit: I have a gym at home, so I work out three to four times a week. No cardio for me, just a few exercises.
My favourite desserts are: I love all of them, but a good creme brûlée is my favourite. I must have something sweet after my meal, of course Bengali mishti doi is another favourite of mine.
My favourite restaurants: My wife is a wonderful cook so I don’t miss gourmet  food, she cooks really good stuff at home. So, I like to go to restaurants for ambience and hence I like trying out new places.
I don’t cook: I am not allowed to enter the kitchen, I have never tried to either. I have never been encouraged to do so because I have too many cooks in the house.
My favourite cook: My mom of course. I grew up sampling her food but she has not been cooking of late. Now my wife does the cooking. We like to keep the dinner healthy and light so she barbecues and grills the food. She does some very good marinades.
My favourite food as a child: So many years I have been a child (laughs).  My comfort food it would be egg fried rice with Schezwan sauce.
I think I resemble an: Onion. It works with everyone but if you mess with it, it makes you cry. i blend in easily. Onion helps makes any food even street food or any cuisine tastier.
My favourite fruit: Plum.
My favourite spice: Pepper.
My favourite drink: Malts.
My idea of a romantic meal:  A French restaurant where they fuss about the little details and food. Over the years I have learnt to appreciate the presentation, earlier I would say what’s the use of taking so much effort we are going to eat it finally. Recently we were at a French cafe – the presentation was so beautiful. I like to eat small portions, sip on some nice wine and enjoy the ambience.
