In under a fortnight, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi) has surpassed the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s Dangal which was the highest grossing Hindi film in India.
This joins the other records broken by the film — `217 crore collected on its first day, `500 crore on its opening weekend and the `1,000 crore within 9 days.
Yesterday, 14 days after its theatrical release, the Hindi-dubbed version of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion touched `390.25 crore nett collection. Dangal’s collection throughout its run was `387.39 crore nett.
The Hindi version of Baahubali-2 has contributed to almost half of the entire Indian box office collection of the film. A Telugu film dubbed in Hindi becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film is an unexpected feat.
The Hindi version is expected to hit the `400 crore mark today, and is predicted to cross the `500 crore mark before the end of its run.
