NEW DELHI: Kangana Ranaut's highly-anticipated movie, based on the life of warrior Rani Laxmi Bai, 'Manikarnika -The Queen Of Jhansi' is all set to hit the theaters on January 25, 2019.
Confirming the news, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "Mark the date: #Manikarnika -The Queen Of Jhansi to release on 25 Jan 2019 [Republic Day]... Stars Kangna Ranaut... Directed by Krish... Produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain."
The period drama also features Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Sonu Sood as Sadashiv and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkarbai.
The flick will be directed by 'Gabbar is Back' director, Krish.
The film had run into controversy when a Brahmin outfit in Rajasthan threatened to disrupt the shooting of the film, claiming it has an "indecent portrayal" of Rani Laxmibai.
