DIRECTOR Shashank, who debuted with the successful film Sixer, is about to start his third film, Krishnana Love Story - Full Feeling Magaa. His second film, Moggina Manasu, had had a 100-day screening.
Shashank claims that 75 per cent of the script of his latest movie is based on real life and the rest is fictional. “It is based on an incident in my friend’s life. We were on our way to Horanadu, a pilgrim spot, when he narrated his love story and asked me whether I could make a film on it. I agreed because the story was very interesting,” Shashank said.
Shashank has roped in Ajay and Radhika Pandit to play the lead pair while Sridhar of Mussanje Maathu fame will compose the music. Giving details about the film, Shashank said, “Ajay and Radhika play lovers who hail from lower middleclass families. This film will be very intense. No such film has been made in Kannada for the last 10 years.” It was said that Shashank gave the script to the lead pair — Ajay and Radhika and asked them to attend rehearsal for one week at a vacant flat at Rajarajeswarinagar.
“The objective of the rehearsal was to make the the artistes understand their roles very well,” Shashank said. The director said, “The Dialogues are punchy and will be liked by the youth.” Ajay, whose Prem Kahani failed to make a positive impact at the box office, said that this film will earn him name and fame. “Its story is very interesting.
Shashank has given me full freedom. I hope to do justice to my role. The director even calls me Krishna now! He identifies me with the character,” said Ajay. Radhika Pandit said, “It’s a very interesting character.
My dialogues will be an added attraction in the film. It is the first time I am playing such role in my career.” Radhika had played a college girl and a software engineer in films ‘Moggina Manasu’ and ‘Love Guru’, respectively. “I am playing a girl from a lower middle- class family in this film. I have keenly observed the behaviour of some women who gather on streets. I even visited vegetable markets to understand their behaviour,” Radhika said.
The muhurat of the film will be held at Sri Kanteerava Studios on Friday. Its regular shooting will be held in Bangalore, Sagar and Mysore.
