Director K Shivarudraiah’s Daatu has been awarded the Best depiction of a woman award in the International Images Film Festival for Women 2008 in Zimbabwe. The movie which is about the struggle of a woman is based on a short story, Dharma Konda, by late Mysore Aswatha. The film stars Roopa Iyer, Datareya, etc.
