After a stationery shop owner from Ramanagar and a solar equipment distributor from Mysore made their debut as producers in Sandalwood, now an ad agency owner Raghu is trying his luck as a kannada film producer.
Raghu said that he agreed to produce Mruthyu since the script was interesting. “It revolves around corruption in society. I know that many films based on corruption were made in Kannada but Mruthyu is different,” said Raghu.
Ravindra makes debut as director with Mruthyu . Muralidhar, the son of actor Krishne Gowda, who acted as one of the heroes in Aathmeeya, is the co-producer for this film.
“Ravindra and me are friends and I could not say no for Mruthyu . My friend Varaprasad has also agreed to be one of its co-producers. We have formed a syndicate for this purpose,” said Raghu.
Director Ravindra said that there are many methods to frighten corrupt people but death is considered as most sophisticated weapon to frighten them. “I happened to watch Shishira , starring Yashas. I like him in the movie and thus picked him up to play a key role in this suspense thriller,” said Ravindra.
Expressing his happiness over his selection for the key role in Mruthyu , Yashas said he was impressed with the script when Ravindra narrated it to him.
Shilpa from Delhi makes debut as heroine in Sandalwood with Mruthyu . Shilpa claimed having acted in various ad films. She plays the character of a soft-spoken girl from a middle-class family.
The director said the story is about the incidents that happen between 10 am and 5 pm. The shooting is expected to be completed at a single schedule.
“Shooting will be held in and around Bangalore,” he said.
