The Malayalam actress who had starred in the Kannada blockbuster hit ‘Jackie’, talks about her source of inspiration and her trip to Auroville.
What are your spiritual beliefs?
I worship anything that inspires and motivates me towards the right direction in life. It's really amazing to see how crores of people worship actor Rajkumar. For all those people, he is God. I'd say anything that gives me the spiritual lift in life is my God.
What is your understanding of God?
As I said, God is an inspirational force that keeps us going in life. It's actually the positive energy around us. Different people have different ways of feeling this positivity and therefore, we've so many names of what we call God.
What are your spiritual practices?
Since I belong to a Hindu family I do a lot as far religion is concerned. I do a small prayer in the morning every day. Other than that I do meditation and yoga whenever possible. I love listening to chants and that's another thing I would not like to miss despite my busy schedules.
Do you visit any pilgrim centres?
I like the kind of vibrations we get in temples or other religious places. My driver recently took me to Auroville and I think it was simply amazing.
