BANGALORE: ‘Kanteerava’, the remake of the Telugu movie ‘Simhaadri’, which had Junior NTR, Bhumika and Ankitha in the lead roles, is set to hit the silver screen on January 14.
In the Kannada version, Vijay, Shubha Punja and Rishika Singh are the main star cast while Rahul Dev played the role of the villain.
Its audio is already becoming popular and producer Ramu is confident of its success at the box office. “We have made many changes and have not compromised with the quality. In the Telugu version, late NTR’s cut-out was used as an introduction for Junior NTR. We used Goddess Chamundi for the introduction of Vijay in ‘Kanteerava’. We have included all the elements that are must for the mass audience to remain in their seats while watching this movie,” says producer Ramu.
Ramu, known for big-budget movies, is also planning to make one more movie — ‘Bheema’ — with Darshan. Director Om Prakash Rao is expected to handle the megaphone for this action-oriented movie.
Vijay, who earned name and fame with the movie Dhuniya is desperately waiting for a success at the box office, has said that he had put all efforts while acting in ‘Kanteerava’. “It was a nice experience to work with stunt director Thriller Manju for this movie. I learnt a lot of things from him during the shooting,” said Vijay.
Expressing her happiness for getting a chance to act in ‘Kanteerava’, Rishika Singh says director Tushar Ranganath helped her during the shooting. “I was little bit hesitant while facing the camera. Ranganath Sir and co-stars Vijay and Shubha Punja have helped me a lot. I am very happy for being one of the artistes of this movie,” says Rishika.
