BANGALORE: Mothers are a big inspiration.

Sandalwood actress Sharmila Mandre agrees with it. Her mother was a big inspiration for her.  She taught her right from wrong and was always a big support for her. “I look up to her mother for strength,” she says. Actress Radhika Pandit says that her mother supported her throughout her career. “I cherish every little thing done by my mother,” she says.

Actress Priyanka Upendra, a mother of two believes that her mother set an example of how to be a perfect mother to her kids. She believes that everything she is today is because of her mother.

They believe that in order to be a perfect mother they have to be like their mothers. “I love kids and wish I can have the same impact on my kids,” says Sharmila Mandre. Radhika Pandit says that she would be an amazing mom if she can be at least 50 per cent of what her mother is.

But Priyanka Upendra believes that she is different from her mother when it comes to mothering kids and she hopes that she will be as good as her soon.

Even though kids think they are too cool to look up to their mothers for a role model, these actresses believe that at the end of the day you will realise that your mother is the real super woman. “Kids these days take their mothers for granted and assume that everything is just mother’s duty,” says Sharmila Mandre.

Radhika Pandit thinks that mothers are your roots and you always have to return to your roots. “Nurturing a kid is important even if they do not look up to you,” adds Priyanka Upendra.

The Sandalwood actresses took a break from their busy schedules to spend the day with their mothers on Mother’s Day.

Priyanka Upendra flew all the way to Kolkata to spend time with her mother. Her kids gave her a big hug which made her day extra special, she says.

Sharmila Mandre took her mother out for lunch, later spent the day at the spa and then took her out again for dinner.

Radhika Pandit made sure her mother had a break on Mother’s Day and ordered food home. She also got her a nice present.
