Challenging Star Darshan and Deepika Kamaiah are set to participate in shooting for a song sequence of Chingaari. If everything goes as per plan, the shooting is expected to be held at Sakleshpur for four days. “We have completed the talkie portion as well as songs, except this
particular song. I am very happy with its quality and expect the audience to
encourage Chingaari,” said producer Mahadev.
Chingaari will be the
second film for choreographer Harsha as director. Harsha made debut as
director with film Gelaya in which Prajwal Devaraj was the hero while Rakhee Sawant shook her legs for an item number. Gelaya was average at the box office.
“I am confident of Chingaari’s success at the box office. Darshan plays a sophisticated character in this film,” said Harsha.
According to Harsha, Chingaari has five songs and among them one is an item number. “Rachana Maurya is the item girl for that item number,” said Harsha with a smile. Bhavana, who acted in Shanthi and Bhaageerathi, plays an important role in this film. “Bhavana’s performance is excellent in a song sequence that is full of glamour,” said Harsha.
Responding about the Deepika Kamaiah’s appearance in the film, the director added, “I have selected Deepika among the 30 girls attended for audition. We were looking for a fresher as heroine for this film. We thought that Deepika is right choice. She has also performed up to our expectations.”
Perhaps Chingaari is the first Kannada film to have 22 days shooting in Switzerland. The director said that script of Chingaari demands locations in Switzerland.
“We selected Switzerland for shooting because it suits the script of Chingaari,” the director narrated.
It was said that Chingaari consists with seven scintillating stunt sequences to make Darshan’s fans vicarious. The film is slated for release by January end.
