BANGALORE: Navarasa Naayaka Jaggesh, who is also known as the minimum guarantee artiste of Sandalwood, is all set to make a comeback as a producer with one more comedy flick Double Decker. More than a decade ago, Jaggesh tried his luck as the producer with the movie Makeup, in which he played the lead role.
Makeup was directed by Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao. Jaggesh appeared on the screen in lady’s costumes. However, the movie did not bring smile for Jaggesh. Though the movie had all elements, the audience did not encourage it. The result: A huge loss for Jaggesh.
Now, he has made all the preparations to try his luck once again with the movie Double Decker in which he is playing the lead role while Shradha Arya and Adhithi Gautham are the heroines.
According to Jaggesh, the script of Double Decker has all ingredients required for entertaining the mass as well as the class audience. “The hero will have the luxury of maintaining two wives. While the hero is having fun with his wives, one person appears on the scene. I do not want to give more information about the climax since I want to keep it a secret,” says Jaggesh.
He has launched his own banner — Om Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Cine Productions — to make the movie Double Decker. It was said that Jaggesh had been to Lakshmi Narasimha Temple near Vellore where one of the priests of the temple had advised him to launch this banner.
The shooting is expected to start shortly. Vasu, who is also known as Victory Vasu, has been assigned to handle the megaphone for this comedy flick.
Director Vasu, who had to walk out of the movie Dhan Dhana Dhan recently, said that Double Decker is not only an entertainer for the audience but also conveys a message to the society.
