Here is good news for fans of Yogesh alias Loose Mada. The much-awaited and hyped audio of ‘Sidlingu’ is out. Anup Silin, who scored music for ‘Navarasa Nayaka’ Jaggesh’s film ‘Yeddelu Manjunatha’, has composed music for this flick that is expected to keep Yogesh’s fans happy.

The audio function was held on Monday at Srinivasa Theatre, Gowdana Palya. Hundreds of people gathered at the entrance of the theatre to have a glimpse of their favourite actors. However, they have to content with the presence of Raghavendra Rajkumar, Prajwal Devaraj, Diganth, Jaggesh and Vijay.

Heroine Ramya was conspicuous with her absence. Many attribute her birthday celebrations as the reason for her failure to turn up while a few opined that it was her duty to promote ‘Sidlingu’ since she is one of the heroines in the film. The other heroine is Suman Ranganath who also failed to turn up.

The function was supposed to begin at 6 pm but was delayed by one hour. While Raghavendra Rajkumar and Chandrasekhar, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce released the audio, other artistes wished Yogesh a big success.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra Rajkumar recalled how Yogesh had acted in film ‘Hudugaru’. “The film’s name is ‘Sidlingu’, producer name is Siddaraju and theatre name is Srinivasa. All three names start with S. I think S is symbol for success and hope the film ‘Sidlingu’ becomes a huge success at the box office. My brother Puneeth became a hardcore fan of Yogesh after watching his performance in ‘Dhuniya’,” says Raghavendra Rajkumar.

Expressing his gratitude Raghavendra Rajkumar for his kind words, Yogesh has narrated how he had to struggle to put on some weight. “The director had asked me to do workouts since I was skinny. I worked out at a nearby gym for three months regularly. I had managed to add 13 kgs in three months. It was a wonderful experience during the shooting,” said Yogesh.

Vijayendra Prasad makes his debut as a director with this film. Prasad was known as teleserial director. Expressing his gratitude for giving him a chance to direct ‘Sidlingu’, he said, “I am grateful to producer Siddaraju for giving me an opportunity. During the shooting I was in a dilemma whether to ask for my remuneration or liquor. The producer used to offer me booze every day. His gesture confused me a lot. After downing two pegs, I had to discuss with him about the next day’s shooting programme.”

Jaggesh came late two hours and blamed the traffic jam for the delay. He lambasted Kannada people who watch other language films and neglect Kannada films. “I request all the Kannada folks to encourage our films for the survival of many people. Our Kannada artistes are second to none. They too have a lot of potential to keep the audience spellbound given an opportunity. I am planning to create awareness among Kannadigas on the importance of encouraging Kannada films,’’ said Jaggesh.

It was Vijay turn to come to the stage. The actor, who overtakes Jaggesh in attending the function late, did not apologise, but became emotional while recalling Siddaraju’s help to make his maiden film ‘Dhuniya’. “Siddaraju is my uncle. I know how he struggled to arrange money for the shooting of ‘Dhuniya’. It is he who gave me the chance to prove my mettle. I will never forget his help and want to remember him as long as I am alive,” says Vijay wiping his tears.

He has also recalled how he used to watch films with uncle Siddaraju and sister Ambujamma. The film ‘Sidlingu’ is expected to hit the silver screen shortly.
