The multi-faceted actor, Bharathi who is also an allopathic doctor is preparing for the UPSC exams to get into IAS now. The actor is also excited about the launch of her film 'CM S/O of Krishna'.

“My first film which is a remake of a Telugu film Brindavanam was supposed to be with Darshan. In fact, when I was finalised, I joined the theatre group Abhinaya Taranga for a crash course.

Later due to some problems, the movie did not take off and so CM S/O of Krishna became my debut in Sandalwood," explains Bharathi who has completed the talky portions for the film.

“My experience with my debut film was very good and I learnt a lot. Everybody on the sets including actor Ajay were very supportive,” she adds.

Even before her first film hit the screens, Bharathi bagged another big project titled Jayamanna Maga opposite Duniya Vijay.

“I am probably God's most favourite child today compared to a few actors who struggle to get a proper launch pad and work with popular actors. As a newbie, I am getting an opportunity to work with a good team and established actors," says this actress, who is playing a girl-next-door character in the film.  “This film needed a girl, who looked pious and luckily the makers felt that I had it in me. Apart from that, when I entered the industry, I had stated very clearly that I will not any accept roles which require me to reveal because it doesn't suit my profession,” she says.

She always dreamt to be a doctor and fulfilled her wishes recently by topping in her college.

The actress who will be shooting for Jayammanaa Maga from this week for 50 days has allocated time to study for UPSC exams as she is also keen to do some public service.  “I have planned my life systematically, so there will not be any confusion,” says Bharathi.

For a newbie, this actor who has had a good start considers acting a passion and it was never her dream.  “Not even in my wildest dreams had I thought that I would get into the glam world. Whenever people saw me, they always thought that I would look good onscreen.

Though I was quite apprehensive about getting into tinsel town because of my studies, I also thought that not everybody gets this chance and I have something really good in store. So I showed interest and started preparing for a new role in my life,” she states.

Juggling between practising medicine, studying for IAS and acting, Bharathi says, “Right now I am not practising medicine as my main focus is to do justice to the role in my new film. Meanwhile, I will rigorously prepare for the IAS exams,” she says. So will we see Dr Bharathi carrying books on the sets?  “No, I can't study on the sets. As per my plan, I will take out 2 to 3 hours after my shoot to study as at present I am not considering cinema as my career. I am a doctor and I would like to focus more on public service,” she concludes.
