Sensation star Komal Kumar has acted in yet another crowd-pleaser Govindaya Namaha that released on Friday. He plays a casanova romancing four girls from all strata of the society. Govindu (Komal) is a rowdy-turned-priest-turned-mechanic-turned-driver who is capable of doing any work given to him, or so he claims.

The movie begins with Govindu going out of his way to prepare for his journey to heaven. He plans on committing suicide by jumping off a building under-construction and this is where he encounters ‘Jumping’ star Harish Raj who is also out to commit suicide. There begins their journey of sharing their respective stories of love failure, which makes up for the rest of the movie.

Based on the lines of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bachna Ae Haseeno, Govindu falls with a village girl at first, then a Muslim girl, a foreigner and at last, a widow. The whole story revolves around the question as to why he is out to commit suicide when he is the one dumping the girls. The popular Pyarge Aagbittaite song (written by the director himself), is what keeps the audience hooked on in the first half of the film. The song, pretty much sums up the movie plot. Govindu ends up marrying Mumtaz, the Muslim girl grooving to Shaadi Geedi Aagibitti... Chota Ghar Maadibitti... Dozen Maklu Hetko Bidode.Debutant director Pawan Wadeyar has made a good attempt to attract the public, but the movie fails to work because of the poor script. Irrelevant dialogues with no flow of thought or chronology constitutes a major drawback. The only consolation are the four duets that are shot well with good editing. Gurukiran’s music has added popularity to the film. Parul Yadav makes for a gorgeous nurse and can be commended for her acting. The other girls Madhulika, Rekha Vedavyas and Anna Georgia look pretty in their roles. The film also has Mukhyamantri Chandru, Dattanna, Tabala Nani and Kirloskar Satya. In all, the film lives up to its title track Antare Ivnanna Govinda, Ivna Nambidre Maatra Gooovinda.
