Komal’s Nandeesha to hit screens soon

This festive season movie buffs have another reason to rejoice. A romcom Nandeesha starring Komal and Parul Yadav along with a newbie, Malavika will be releasing soon. With Komal’s Govindaya Namaha bagging the title of one of the biggest hits of 2012, will Nandeesha follow suit? “I am confident that my film will do well. I am not the kind of actor who does four to five films a year. I may do just 2  films a year, but I make sure they are quality films,” explained Komal and further added, “Making a comedy film is not an easy job. To make people laugh, you have to have a good sense of humour. Only then the audience will enjoy your act,” he said.

Parul Yadav is back with Komal for the second time. In Nandeesha, the heroine will be seen in a journalist avatar. “Parul has  participated in Comedy Circus and many other comedy shows. In that way she has a good comedy sense. Our combination has worked well in our previous films. We needed an actress who could reciprocate well and that’s why I wanted her again in my film. Also our on-screen chemistry has become quite famous,” he said.

Like the song Pyarege Hagbityate made the film Govindaya Namaha famous, Nandeesha’s Balu bandre bat hodi... is slowly becoming popular. But for the actor, it is more than just songs.

“The song Kolaveri Di.. was a big hit but the film did not do well. If audience came only for songs, the pattern would have been very easy. But it is the script that makes a movie popular. Song and dance are always added advantages,” he asserted. Komal’s films are unique as his movies always consist of two to three heroines and the magic formula is definitely working out for him. “It was sheer coincidence that whichever film had two heroines did well. Now in future also I would like to stick to my current strategy,” he said.

He has been often paired with actresses coming from outside and among them his favourite are the Malayalam heroines. “I like working with Malayalam actress ," he said.
