AKK entertainment released the music album of its soon to be launched movie Prasad, directed by Manoj Sati and produced by Ashok Kheny, in the city recently. The songs of the movie were composed by the music director Illayaraaja. The movie revolves around a differently-abled child Prasad. Sankalp, who plays the role of the protagonist, in real- life suffers from speech and hearing impairment.

Actor Arjun Sarja through Prasad has re-entered the Kannada film industry after 10 years. His last movie in Sandalwood was Sri Manjunatha. When City Express asked the actor about his come-back, he said, “It is a great feeling to be back in Sandalwood. I am possessive about the language as I was born and raised here. Meanwhile, I was waiting for good scripts to give my best shot in acting.”

When asked about working experiences in his South Indian film industries, Arjun Sarja commented, “I don’t see any difference at all and it depends on the director I work with. Every director has his own way of presenting movies to the audience. And, Prasad is a performance

oriented film. ”

Ashok Kheny, the producer of the film, believes that next two decades belongs to art and entertainment.

He dreams to see India as a warehouse of entertainment industry in the world. He is also setting up studios which will facilitate the production of film, ads and others. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kheny, said,

“Twenty years ago there was only one channel but today inspite of having several channels people are still not satisfied. Our country has a lot of talent that needs to be nurtured in the right way by giving each and every person ample opportunities.

In every film, character has to fit into the story. Through this movie we try to pass a meaningful message to the society — how to explore talent in differently abled children rather than disregarding them.”

The film also stars Madhuri Bhattacharya in the lead role and Shiamak Davar in a cameo role. Actors Ambreesh, Sudeep, Sumalatha, Sudharani, Dwarkish and others were present at the audio release of the movie.
